The Language of Permission

Whether you want someone to let you do something or you want to ask for something, you need their permission. Then there are rules that other people set for you that gives you the permission to do something. You need the proper words to clearly say what is allowed or not allowed. In English we use a number of words to give or refuse permission. Learn how to give and refuse permission.

Pass the Mic

Pass The Mic spotlights the stories and experiences of New Zealanders from migrant and former refugee backgrounds. The first series from 2022 is a community-led collaboration in partnership with Belong Aotearoa, Sport Waitākere and Storyo, hosted by Elina Ashimbayeva.
