The Mercy Spirituality Centre offers spiritual direction or companioning. The primary task of a spiritual director or companion is to help another person notice how God is present in their life, and how they are responding to God. The director or companion acts as a listening, supportive person who creates an atmosphere in which the other can look honestly at her/his relationship with God, as it is lived out in everyday experience. Sr Christina Cathro is one of the spiritual directors who offer their services in the Mercy Spirituality Centre. She explains in this interview more about the meaning of spiritual direction and how she approaches people who ask for companioning.
